Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto received the visit of United States Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia Joseph R. Donovan today, Nov. 12, at the defense ministry headquarters in Central Jakarta.
Donovan’s visit today was accompanied by U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Heather C. Variava and Defense attache Colonel Mike Spake. This visit is said to maintain the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
Prabowo’s expert staff, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak said; “It talked about the global and regional security conditions among many other discussions related to that issue.”
Following Donovan’s visit, Prabowo Subianto immediately received the visit of Saudi Arabia ambassador to Indonesia, Esam A. Abid Althagafi at 13:00 Indonesia western time (WIB). This meeting also talked about the same issue as the previous meeting with the U.S. ambassador.
The meeting with the two ambassadors also discussed the possibility of establishing a partnership within the field of defense with both the United States of America and Saudi Arabia.
